MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024638 A) filed by Thales Dis Cpl USA, Inc, Austin, U.S.A., on March 27, 2024, for 'method for managing a payment transaction.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention is a method for managing a payment a a a transaction between payment device (10) and merchant's device (20) in which the payment device captures first version of parameters reflecting a physical external context an intrinsic characteristic of the payment device before receiving a one-time secret and captures a second version of these a and one-time secret. The parameters after receiving payment device sends the first version of parameters to a banking authority (30) for getting the one-time secret then sends the second version of parameters to banking authority the of for getting transaction authorization the banking authority. Then the banking authority decides to accept or deny the payment transaction after checking both the validity of the one-time secret and that first and second versions of parameters are consistent."
