MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441069115 A) filed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Sept. 12, 2024, for 'method for improving psa performance through novel cycle sequences.'
Inventor(s) include Ganesan, Saravanakumar; Mishra, Prashant; Kumaravelan, Madan Kumar; Tompala, Annaji Rajiv Kumar; and Bojja, Ramachandra Rao.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a method to improve the performance of pressure swing adsorption (PSA) comprising providing a pressure swing adsorption apparatus having 4 to 5 beds comprising an adsorbent for adsorption, and a reservoir tank. The PSA works in 4-1-2-1T configuration and 5-1-3-1T configuration in 12 to 20 step cycle, respectively. The novel cycle sequence for pressure swing adsorption helps in minimization of valve/header requirement and maximizing equalizations steps for reduced bed mode operations."
