MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547058831 A) filed by Sms Group Gmbh, Monchengladbach, Germany, on June 19, for 'method for improved slag control in a metallurgical vessel.'
Inventor(s) include Khadhraoui, Sabrine; and De Fries, Uwe.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a method for improved slag control in a metallurgical vessel. To date, slags cannot be used further in the dephosphorization of a metal melt and have to be deposited. By means of the method according to the invention, the phosphorus content in the slag is enriched to such an extent that further use is possible."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 17, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/082201.
