MUMBAI, India, Dec. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102429 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 24, for 'method for geometric theorem extension.'
Inventor(s) include Aman Mittal; Dr. Sorabh Lakhanpal; Meghna Gupta; and Mohit Prakram.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for geometric theorem extension, comprising these steps of: obtaining a complex number identity derived from a geometric theorem proven by an automated geometric theorem proving method, transforming the obtained complex number identity into an alternative mathematical representation, reinterpreting the geometric significance of each complex number term within the transformed identity, determining coordinates of geometric points that satisfy one or more geometric conditions represented by the transformed identity by solving corresponding equations and generating new geometric propositions based on the determined coordinates through coordinate plotting."
