MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411075250 A) filed by L'Oreal, Paris, on Oct. 4, 2024, for 'method for evaluating the evolution of skin shine while assessing a skin cosmetic product and associated device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for evaluating the evolution of skin shine while assessing a skin cosmetic product, notably a cleansing product, the method comprising the following steps: - determining, by a processing unit (30), values for a shine parameter as a function of time responsive to acquired images of an application zone, 10 the application zone being a zone of the face of an individual on which a cosmetic product has been applied, - determining, by the processing unit (30), of a curve representing the evolution of the shine parameter as a function of time on the basis of the determined values for the shine parameter, and 15 - predicting an impact of the cosmetic product on the evolution of skin shine as a function of the determined curve."
