MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073826 A) filed by Upgrid Solutions Private Limited, New Delhi, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'method for enabling can communication in a vehicle using a wiring harness assembly.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a method for enabling CAN communication in a vehicle using a wiring harness assembly. The vehicle (102) includes a battery pack and a CAN harness (108). The method includes enabling a plurality of connections between the battery pack and a plurality of electrical components using a plurality of connecting wires. The plurality of connections is enabled by connecting a first end of the CAN harness (108) to the first battery (104) through a first power connector (110) and to the second battery (106) through a second power connector (112), by connecting a second end of the CAN harness (108) to the first electrical component through a third cylindrical passage and a fourth cylindrical passage diverging from the first point along the CAN harness (108) and connecting a CAN cable and the third electrical component for enabling the CAN communication with the battery pack."
