Inventor(s) include Janakiraman J; Dinesh P; and Manoj Baskaran.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein are a method and a system for detecting a fault 5 condition of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The method comprising receiving one or more engine parameters of the internal combustion engine at a first time period. Further, the method comprises detecting at least one of normal condition, and air intake leakage condition of the internal combustion engine, based on the received one or more engine parameters 10 and a predefined first and second engine maps. Further, the method comprises initiating an injector fault detection mode upon detecting the air intake leakage condition of the internal combustion engine. Further, the method comprises determining, via the injector fault detection mode, a faulty fuel injector among one or more fuel injectors associated with the internal combustion engine, based on the one or more engine parameters 15 received at a second time period and a predefined third engine map."
