MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514077803 A) filed by Rieter Ag, Winterthur, Switzerland, on Aug. 14, 2025, for 'method for changing cross-wound bobbins at a workstation of a textile machine, displaceable bobbin changing device, and textile machine having a displaceable bobbin changing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a method for changing cross-wound bobbins (5) at a workstation (2) of a textile machine (1) having a plurality of workstations (2) disposed next to one another in the longitudinal direction of the textile machine (1), each having a winding device (3), by means of a bobbin changing device (6) able to be displaced along the workstations (2), an empty tube (9) to be inserted into a bobbin holder (4) of the winding device (3) of the workstation (2) being carried along in a tube store (8) of the displaceable bobbin changing device (6). The empty tube (9) is removed from the tube store (8) of the bobbin changing device (6) by means of a tube gripper (10). At least two empty tubes (9) of different types for at least two different batches of yarn are carried in the tube store (8). When an empty tube (9) is requested by a workstation (2), the type of empty tube (9) required is determined and an empty tube (9) of the required type is inserted into the bobbin holder (4) by the tube gripper (10). A displaceable bobbin changing device (6) has a tube store (8) having at least two storage locations (15) for at least two empty tubes (9) of different types for at least two different batches of yarn."
