MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517069448 A) filed by S. A. Lhoist Recherche Et Developpement, Ottignies Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, on July 21, for 'method for calcining carbonated mineral stones in a parallel flow regenerative kiln and implemented kiln.'

Inventor(s) include Van Cantfort, Olivier; and Cloarec, Tristan.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Parallel flow regenerative kiln, wherein each shaft comprises means for injecting a heated gas (6) inside the shaft (1) in calcination working at the top of the calcination zone (B) and means for removing (21, 23) from the kiln the cooling air which has been heated in contact with the calcined material, at a level lower than the crossover channel (4)."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 28, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/087893.
