The solid epoxy material and at least a portion of the fiber-wrapped can be cut to expose the other end of the plurality of fibers. The potting process includes drilling a hole through the solid epoxy and at least one of the plurality of cores therefore exposing an interior portion of the at least one core. The process can also include sealing the fiber-wrapped cores and shell by inserting the fiber-wrapped cores into an additional epoxy material and preserving a gap between the fiber-wrapped cores and the new seal."
