MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541134712 A) filed by Daimler Truck Ag, Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'method and system for voltage balancing of a battery pack and a circuit thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein are a method and a system for performing voltage balancing of a multi pack battery system is disclosed. The method detects an operating mode of the multi pack system. Further, the method compares a voltage value of each of the two or more battery packs. Further, the method selects a primary battery pack having a maximum voltage value. Further, the method connects the primary battery pack to a load to supply power to the load. Further, the method simultaneously performs charging at least one of the remaining two or more battery packs. Further, the method monitors a change in voltage value of the primary battery pack and the at least one of the remaining two or more battery packs being charged and iteratively performing the steps of supplying power to load and charging, until all the battery packs of the battery pack are at same voltage value."
