MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441068482 A) filed by L&T Technology Services Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Sept. 10, 2024, for 'method and system for preventing unauthorized recording of an audio.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method (300) and system (200) for preventing unauthorized recording of an audio is disclosed. An audio processing unit (102) dynamically generate a pitch shifted audio signal based on a disruptive audio signal using Digital Signal Processing (DSP). The pitch shifted audio signal is at a predefined frequency selected from at least one of a lower audible frequency range of a human user or a higher audible frequency range of the human user. In an embodiment, the pitch shifted audio signal is configured to degrade a recording quality of the audio being rendered at a venue. The pitch shifted audio signal is distributed to a corresponding driver from a set of drivers based on the predefined frequency of the pitch shifted audio signal. The set of drivers are placed across the venue for subsequent rendering of the pitch shifted audio signal in real-time along with the audio."
