MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087753 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'method and system for generating a hand pose.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (102) to generate a hand pose and includes a map-generating module that generates a hand map (300) a plurality of key points (302) from an input image of a hand. The system (102) also includes an identification module (210) that identifies an offset key point (314, kp1) out of the plurality of key points (302) located outside the hand map (300) and identify a reference key point (316, kp2) located inside the hand map (300) closest to the offset key point (314, kp1). In addition, the system (102) includes a modification module (214) that rotates the offset key point (314, kp1) to a new position at an intersection of the path of the rotation and the hand map (300). Finally, the system (102) includes a hand-pose generation module (216) that generates the hand pose subsequent to the shifting."
