MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073209 A) filed by Upgrid Solutions Private Limited, New Delhi, on Sept. 27, 2024, for 'method and system for enabling can based battery charging.'
Inventor(s) include Siddharth Sikka; Pulkit Khurana; and Tanushree Bhattacharya.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system (200) for CAN battery charging in a battery swapping station. The system is for enabling charging of a CAN based battery. The system includes a battery (118) of one or more set of batteries, a charger (202) of a plurality of chargers (110), a server (208) and an instruction signal generator (210). The battery includes a battery management system (118a) and the charger includes an IOT device (202a). The server (208) includes a memory where the instructions are stored in the memory. The instructions include receiving the information, determining the status, identifying the type, determining the charging mode, sending the signal, initiating the charging, receiving the first set of values, continuously updating the first set of value, and receiving the second set of values. The instruction signal generator (210) generates signals pertaining to one or more alerts corresponding to charging mode."
