MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511004797 A) filed by Indraprastha Institute Of Information Technology, New Delhi, on Jan. 21, 2025, for 'method and system for designing and predicting multiple reaction monitoring (mrm) transitions.'
Inventor(s) include Ray, Arjun; Gautam, Prutyay; Singh, Praveen; Mrinal; Sacher, Sukriti; Bhaskar, Akash Kumar; Halder, Abhishek; Basak, Trayambak; Sengupta, Debarka; and Sengupta, Shantanu.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein are systems and methods for designing and predicting multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) transitions. Initially a query peptide sequence is received. Further, an occurrence of a precursor and fragment ions pair is predicted. Furthermore, a unique ion signature (UIS) profile is generated, based on the predicted precursor and fragment ions pair, such that the UIS profile corresponds to an optimal MRM transition with respect to the query peptide sequence."
