MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514035231 A) filed by Bosch Powertrain Systems Co. Ltd., Wuxi, China, on April 10, for 'method and system for correcting accelerator pedal demand torque of vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Wang, Huarui.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present subject matter relates to a method for correcting accelerator pedal 5 demand torque of a vehicle, comprising: sensing an accelerator pedal opening degree, an engine rotational speed and vehicle gear information with a sensor unit (101) of the vehicle; determining, based on the vehicle gear information, a corresponding accelerator pedal demand torque map from a plurality of pre-stored accelerator pedal demand torque maps based on vehicle gears; obtaining, based on 10 the accelerator pedal opening degree and the engine rotational speed, the accelerator pedal demand torque based on the vehicle gears from the corresponding accelerator pedal demand torque map. The present subject matter also relates to a method for further correcting the accelerator pedal demand torque based on a vehicle weight, a slope and an ambient pressure and a correction system involving the 15 implementation of the method."
