MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421103832 A) filed by Chitragupta Urban Technologies Private Limited, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Dec. 27, 2024, for 'method and system for automated detection and evidence-based reporting of environmental or regulatory deviations using distributed video sources.'
Inventor(s) include Naman Paithankar; and Jayesh Ramdas Golatkar.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a method and system (106) for automated detection and evidence-based reporting of environmental or regulatory deviations using video data acquired from the plurality vehicles (102a...102d). The system (106) receives video streams containing timestamp and geolocation metadata and anonymizes the streams by obfuscating personal identifiable information. Overlapping video portions from different vehicles are identified and correlated, and the correlated portions are processed using machine-learning models to detect objects or events and classify them into predefined incident categories. Redundant detections are removed through cross-vehicle clustering, and each validated incident is mapped to a geographic segment where a severity score is computed. Detected incidents are cross-verified against external authoritative data sources prior to generating a digital ticket containing evidence and classification details. Each ticket is routed to designated enforcement or regulatory platforms, and follow-up video data is analyzed to verify remediation over time."
