MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517066880 A) filed by Nihon University; and Glovacc Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on July 14, for 'method and kit for predicting efficacy of treatment with immunotherapeutic agent on patient with mucosal lesion.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a novel method and kit for predicting the efficacy of treatment with an immunotherapeutic agent on a patient with a mucosal lesion. The present invention is a method for predicting the efficacy of treatment with an immunotherapeutic agent on a patient with a mucosal lesion, the method comprising a step for measuring the expression level of CD86 in a biological sample derived from a patient with a mucosal lesion. The present invention is a kit for use in the above method, the kit comprising a substance that binds specifically to CD86, or forward and reverse primers for amplifying nucleic acids encoding CD86."
