MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517049938 A) filed by Innovative Technology Lab Co. Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on May 23, for 'method and device for performing sidelink communication on unlicensed band.'
Inventor(s) include Park, Dong Hyun; and Lee, Won Seok.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wireless user device operating in a sidelink unlicensed band in a wireless communication system may comprise at least one antenna for transmitting and receiving one or more wireless signals, at least one processor, and a memory for storing, when executed by the at least one processor, indications for the wireless user device, wherein an operation of the wireless user device comprises the steps of: determining the number of OFDM symbols available for PSSCH transmission; determining the number of coded symbols of 2nd SCI on the basis of the number of OFDM symbols available for PSSCH transmission; determining the number of resource elements of the 2nd SCI on the basis of the number of coded symbols of the 2nd SCI; and mapping the 2nd SCI to a radio resource on the basis of a parameter related to the position of a starting OFDM symbol and a parameter related to the number of OFDM symbols, and transmitting same to another wireless user device."
The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 30, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/017002.
