MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517091008 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 23, for 'method and device for performing multi-access packet distribution based on network telemetry.'

Inventor(s) include Moon, Younggyoun; Kim, Dongmyung; Kim, Sunhyun; Kim, Sunghwan; and Han, Yoonseon.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method of a terminal according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise the steps of: receiving, via a first access network from a first network entity performing a user plane function (UPF), a first packet including respective pieces of in-band network telemetry (INT) information of one or more nodes included in a transmission path between the terminal and the first network entity; determining a traffic distribution method on the basis of the first packet including the one or more pieces of INT information; and transmitting a second packet to the UPF via the first access network or a second access network on the basis of the determined traffic distribution method."
