MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517074090 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Aug. 4, for 'method and device for classifying low-latency traffic in wireless lan system.'

Inventor(s) include Baek, Sunhee; Jang, Insun; and Choi, Jinsoo.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method and a device for classifying low-latency traffic in a wireless LAN system are disclosed. A method performed by a first STA in a wireless LAN system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise the steps of: receiving, from a second STA, at least one low-latency (LL)-related ID and QoS characteristic information related to LL traffic; transmitting, to the second STA, a request frame for a stream classification service (SCS) process; and receiving, from the second STA, a response frame for the request frame. Here, the at least one LL-related ID is commonly applied to one or more STAs coupled to the second STA, and at least one of the request frame and the response frame may include information related to allocation of the LL-related ID."
