MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517079081 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Aug. 20, for 'method and device for carrier aggregation using synchronization signal block-less cell in next-generation mobile communication system.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method of a terminal in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise the steps of: receiving, from a base station, an RRC message including downlink frequency information corresponding to a secondary cell (Scell) and information indicating addition of the Scell corresponding to a synchronization signal block (SSB)-less Scell in which no SSB is transmitted, wherein the downlink frequency information does not include a field indicating an absolute frequency of the SSB and includes a field indicating a reference cell for time synchronization of the Scell; and acquiring a timing reference of the Scell on the basis of the reference cell."
