MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517064156 A) filed by Electronics And Telecommunications Research Institute, Daejeon, Republic of Korea, on July 4, for 'method and device for adaptive antenna scaling in communication system.'

Inventor(s) include Moon, Sung Hyun; Kim, Cheul Soon; Shin, Woo Ram; and Lee, Jung Hoon.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method of a terminal comprises the steps of: receiving, from a base station, first configuration information with respect to a first CSI-RS resource; receiving, from the base station, second configuration information for a CSI reporting operation; receiving, on the basis of the first configuration information and the second configuration information, a CSI-RS through M CSI-RS antenna ports (where M is a natural number less than or equal to L ), which are a first subset of L CSI-RS antenna ports constituting the first CSI-RS; determining a first PMI on the basis of the M CSI-RS antenna ports; and transmitting, to the base station, a CSI report comprising the first PMI, wherein the step of determining the first PMI is carried out at least on the basis of a codebook in which the sizes of a first dimension and a second dimension are N1 and N2, respectively, and N1 and N2 may be each determined as divisors of M."
