MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514094753 A) filed by Robert Bosch Gmbh, Stuttgart, Germany, on Oct. 1, 2025, for 'method and control unit for generating a trajectory for a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Brickwedde, Alexander.; Joos, Armin; Kunz, Felix; Sangwan, Jattin; and Jain, Vasundhara.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present subject matter relates to a method for generating a trajectory (100) for a vehicle, wherein a driving task (102) to be solved by the trajectory (100) is simplified by extracting non-linear and discontinuous constraints (106) and splitting them off from the driving task (102) to obtain a simplified driving task (108), wherein the simplified driving task (108) is divided into at least two different sub-problems (112) and a reference profile (118) is created for one of the sub- problems (112), wherein at least two trajectory candidates (122) for the sub- problem (112) are determined using the reference profile (118), wherein a comparison (126) of the trajectory candidates (122) with the previously split off constraints (106) is performed, and the trajectory (100) to be executed for the vehicle is selected using a result (128) of the comparison (126)."
