MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517073610 A) filed by Brose Fahrzeugteile Se & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft, Wurzburg, Germany, on Aug. 1, for 'method and computing unit for actuating an electrical drive with overmodulation compensation.'
Inventor(s) include Schwarzkopf, Johannes.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a method, a computing unit, a device and a computer program for actuating an electric drive. The method comprises the following method steps. In one method step, the electric drive is divided into at least a first subsystem to be actuated with a first actuation range and a second subsystem to be actuated with a second actuation range, wherein the first subsystem and second subsystem have a common stator and drive a common rotor of the electric drive. In a further method step, an actuation vector is obtained to actuate the electric drive. In a further method step, a first actuation value is detected in the actuation range of the first subsystem to be actuated and a second actuation value is detected in the second actuation range of the second subsystem to be actuated at the time the voltage vector is obtained. In a further method step, the actuation vector obtained is assigned to the first subsystem to be actuated and the second subsystem to be actuated for actuating the electric drive in a specific ratio, so that the first actuation value does not exceed a maximum actuation range of the first subsystem to be actuated and/or the second actuation value does not exceed a maximum actuation range of the second subsystem to be actuated."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 27, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/087867.
