MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517042370 A) filed by Shanghai Langbo Communication Technology Company Limited, Shanghai, on May 1, for 'method and apparatus used in communication node for wireless communication.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application discloses a method and device used in a communication node for wireless communication. The method comprises: a communication node sending at least one Preamble according to whether PRACH repetition is executed; in response to the at least one Preamble being sent, receiving a first MAC sub-PDU in a first time window, the first MAC sub-PDU indicating a first backoff parameter value; and determining a first backoff time at least according to a product of the first backoff parameter value and a first backoff factor, wherein at least one of the first backoff parameter value and the first backoff factor depends on whether to execute PRACH repetition. For the uplink coverage enhancement of a PRACH, the present application provides an enhanced backoff time calculation method for a random access backoff mechanism, and the solution can adjust the load state of a cell and improve the random access success rate of a UE."
