MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517042325 A) filed by Shanghai Langbo Communication Technology Company Limited, Shanghai, on May 1, for 'method and apparatus used in communication node for wireless communication.'
Inventor(s) include Yu, Qiaoling; and Zhang, Xiaobo.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed in the present application are a method and apparatus used in a communication node for wireless communication. The method comprises: during a first random access process, a communication node sending a preamble according to a first random access resource group; in response to sending the preamble according to the first random access resource group, receiving a first MAC sub-PDU, wherein the first MAC sub-PDU indicates a first backoff parameter value; and in response to the first random access process not being completed, selecting a second random access resource group, and sending the preamble according to the second random access resource group, wherein whether the execution time of the action of selecting the second random access resource group depends on the first backoff parameter value is related to the second random access resource group, and the first random access resource group and the second random access resource group are both allocated to four-step random access. Aiming at the enhancement of uplink coverage of a PRACH, the present application provides a random access backoff mechanism for adaptively adjusting the execution time for executing a random access resource selection process."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 31, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/115994.
