MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076137 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Oct. 8, 2024, for 'method and apparatus for managing uninterrupted service in wireless communication network.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein is a method for managing uninterrupted service in a wireless communication network. The method comprises determining whether a mobility procedure is to be initiated from a first RAT to second RAT at least based on QoS requirement and initiating the mobility procedure from the first RAT to the second RAT using a primary antenna chain based on the determination. The method further comprises monitoring MT paging on the first RAT using a 10 secondary antenna chain during a mobility period. The MT paging indicates incoming call on the first RAT. The method further comprises terminating the mobility procedure from the first RAT to second RAT in response to detecting the MT paging on the first RAT and continuing with the incoming call on the first RAT after the termination of the mobility procedure."
