MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517077289 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Aug. 13, for 'method and apparatus for information indication in btm.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application relates to a method and apparatus for information indication in BTM. The method comprises: an AP MLD generates and sends a BTM request frame, the BTM request frame comprising first indication information used for indicating a processing mode of a BSSID or an AP MLD that is not listed in a BSS transition candidate list entry field, and a processing mode of an AP that does not appear in a recommended AP combination in a candidate target AP MLD listed in the BSS transition candidate list entry field. By using the present application, the information indication in BTM can be perfected. The present application is applied to a WLAN system supporting 802.11 series protocols such as a next-generation WiFi protocol of 802.11ax, i.e., 802.11be, WiFi 7 or EHT, and the next generation of 802.11be, i.e., WiFi 8, UHR and WiFi AI, and is also applied to a WPAN system supporting UWB, a sensing system, etc."
