MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647025153 A) filed by Nokia Solutions And Networks Oy, Espoo, Finland, on March 3, for 'method and apparatus for customization in radio access networks.'

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Machine learning techniques are used at layer L2 in the radio interface so that the base station and the wireless devices in the radio access network can learn a customized control plane protocol adapted to the quality-of-service requirement of that radio access network. Additional control plane information is learned and sent in the control plane signaling according to a known protocol."
