MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527088837 A) filed by Coolbrook Oy, Helsinki, on Sept. 18, for 'method and apparatus for converting carbon-based feedstocks into usable products using rotary generated thermal energy.'
Inventor(s) include Ouni, Tuomas; and Purola, Veli Matti.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for thermal or thermochemical conversion of carbon-based feedstocks into usable products in a feedstock conversion facility is provided. The method comprises generating heated fluidic medium by at least one rotary apparatus, supplying a stream of thus generated heated fluidic medium into the feedstock conversion facility, and operating said at least one rotary apparatus and said feedstock conversion facility to carry out thermal or thermochemical conversion of the carbon-based feedstocks into usable products at temperatures essentially equal to or exceeding about 400 degrees Celsius (C). The method is beneficial in processing of plastic and/or organic feedstocks."
The patent application was internationally filed on Apr. 10, 2024, under International application No.PCT/FI2024/050164.
