MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517057753 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on June 16, for 'method and apparatus for controlling transmission power of ue in wireless communication system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G communication system such as LTE. A base station according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may: receive, from a UE, a request signal for an energy saving (ES) mode of an AI model for transmission power control; determine whether or not to use (or switch) the AI model for transmission power control into the ES mode; and on the basis of the determination, transmit, to the UE, a response signal including information indicating whether or not to use (or switch) the AI model for transmission power control into the ES mode."
