MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105071 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'metal pipe reshaping assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Surjeet Yadav.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A metal pipe reshaping assistive device, comprising an L-shaped body 101 having first section installed with an inverted U-shaped handle 102 that is gripped by a user to position second section of the body 101 in proximity of a metallic pipe, a microphone 103 to give voice commands, an imaging unit 104 detect diameter of the pipe, a holographic projection unit 105 to project a 3D visuals, a motorized expandable pulley arrangement 107 to expand/contract as per detected diameter of pipe, a DC ( Direct Current) motor coupled with the grinding member 106 to rotate to erode out inner portion of the pipe, a proximity sensor for detecting presence of user's hand, a speaker 109 to generate an audio notification, and a corrosion sensor installed with the body 101 in synchronization with the imaging unit 104 to detect presence of corrosion on the pipe."
