MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113451 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on Nov. 18, 2025, for 'menstrual care training device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sandeep Kumar; Poonam Talwar; and Ravinder Saini.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A menstrual care training device, comprises of a humanoid doll 101 constructed with an anatomically accurate pelvic region, a chamber 102 integrated in the doll 101 for storing a blood simulant, an outlet 201 provided at the pelvic region in fluid communication with the chamber 102, a flow means 202 causing the blood simulant to flow via the outlet 201, a sanitary pad 103 scaled to the pelvic region for absorbing the blood simulant, an input means 104 in operative communication with the flow means 202, actuating the flow means 202 to cause the blood simulant to flow in accordance with a received input and a slot 105 provided in the pelvic region receiving the sanitary pad 103 for absorption of the flowing blood simulant, thus enabling a user to practice menstrual care."
