MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012458 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'medicine injection assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A medicine injection assistive device, comprises of a cylindrical hollow transparent frame 1 constructed with liquid lens utilize for administering a medicine, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting diameter of the syringe, a set of telescopically operated links 2 to extend for gripping the syringe securely within the frame 1 via a suction cup 3, a microphone to give voice commands regarding an optimum amount of the medicine to be administered, a battery for supplying an optimum voltage to the lens for enhancing zooming power of the lens to allow the user to appropriately see markings on the syringe, a camera 4 for detecting amount of the medicine filled within the syringe, a motorized clamp 5 for gripping plunger of the syringe, and a speaker 7 for notifying the user to place the syringe over a body part in which the medicine is to be injected."
