MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105012 A) filed by Chitkara University; and Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'medical fluid management and therapeutic device.'

Inventor(s) include Ishu Rani; and Simran Chauhan.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A medical fluid management and therapeutic device, comprises of a housing 101 equipped with a set of extendable rods 102 to support the housing 101 in close proximity of a patient's body, a fluid collection pouch 103 for storing extracted fluid via an adjustable conduit 104 to facilitate fluid flow within the pouch 103, a hyperspectral imaging camera 105 to detect and quantify hemoglobin and erythrocytes in the collected fluid, an arm 106 equipped with a ring 107 to adjust orientation of the conduit 104 to maintain fluid flow and reduce chances of twisting of conduit 104, an imaging unit 108 to identify type of surgery performed on the patient, an electrochemical biosensor 110 to detect infection, inflammation and biochemical markers, a pair of vertical extendable bars 111 having a C-shaped plate 112 to provide targeted hot and cold therapy to the patient as per requirement."
