MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024722 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'medical examining assistive device for infants.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Hemlata Sharma; and Dr. Keshchandra Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A medical examining assistive device for infants, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 installed on the platform 1 to determine dimensions of the infant, a motorized clamp 3 integrated on the platform 1 for holding the infant's waist, a curved transparent member 4 installed on the platform 1 for accommodating infant's body in between the member 4, a pair of plates 5 arranged underneath the platform 1 for supporting the infant's legs, plurality of motorized rollers 6 coiled with straps integrated on the platform 1 for unwrapping the straps and plurality of robotic grippers 7 arranged on the platform 1 to acquire a grip of ends of the unwrapped straps for engaging in a latching unit integrated with each of the roller 6 for restricting movement of the infant's legs and arms."
