MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547096152 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on Oct. 6, for 'measurement period startpoint for position estimation session of a user equipment.'
Inventor(s) include Cabrera Mercader, Carlos; Manolakos, Alexandros; Sharma, Prashant; Ryu, Jae Ho; and Kadiri, Prasada Veera Reddy.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) determines a startpoint of a measurement period associated with a downlink positioning reference signal (DL-PRS) configuration based on a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration and one or more extended DRX (eDRX) configuration parameters. In a further aspect, a position estimation entity receives a measurement report based on positioning measurements performed by the UE in accordance with the startpoint of the measurement period."
