MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517092721 A) filed by Omron Healthcare Co. Ltd., Kyoto, Japan, on Sept. 26, for 'measurement device, information terminal, control method, and control program.'

Inventor(s) include Fukuda Yasunori; and Okazaki Tetsuzo.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are a measurement device, an information terminal, a control method, and a control program that make it possible to suppress power consumption. A measurement device (1) according to one aspect of the present invention is capable of measuring biological information. The measurement device (1) comprises a wireless communication unit (14) and a controller (18). The wireless communication unit (14) is capable of transmitting measurement data pertaining to the biological information to information terminals (5a, 5b). The controller (18) wirelessly transmits an advertisement signal before measurement of the biological information is instructed, performs control for wirelessly connecting to the information terminal (5a) that has made a connection request in accordance with the advertisement signal, disconnects the connection with the information terminal (5a) in cases where a person being measured is found to be different from a user a of the information terminal (5a) during measurement of the biological information, and controls the wireless communication unit (14) so as to wirelessly connect to the information terminal (5b) of the person being measured."
