MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202524065995 A) filed by Carl Freudenberg Kg, Weinheim, Germany, on July 10, 2025, for 'material for a filter medium and filter comprising said material for a filter medium.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A material for a filter medium is provided which comprises at least a first material layer comprising fibers and having a first surface and a second surface, and which comprising a second material layer comprising fibers and having a first surface and a second surface, wherein the first surface of the second material layer is oriented parallel to the second surface of the first material layer, wherein the first material layer comprises a mixture of meltblown filaments and fibers having a discrete length, wherein the concentration of meltblown filaments increases from the first surface to the second surface of the first material layer and the concentration of fibers having a discrete length increases from the second surface to the first surface of the first material layer, and wherein the second material layer comprises nanofibers forming the first surface of the second material layer."
