MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517092460 A) filed by Totalenergies Onetech, Courbevoie, France, on Sept. 26, for 'mass polymerisation section for preparing polylactic acid.'
Inventor(s) include Eon, Serge; and Libeert, Julien.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to the field of polymerisation of lactic acid to form polylactic acid (PLA). The present invention in particular relates to a process for mass polymerisation in a PLA production process. The present invention also relates to an apparatus for performing the process of the invention, and to the use of the present process or apparatus in the production of a polylactide polymer."
