MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421038001 A) filed by Ceat Limited, Halol, Gujarat, on May 14, 2024, for 'marking of tires.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an apparatus (100) for placing markings on a surface of a tire. This apparatus (100) comprises a mounting block (102) housing a plurality of stamps (104), each bearing a marking. The mounting block (102) is 5 mounted on a frame (105), which facilitates the mounting block (102) to move relative to the tire to place a plurality of markings at a predetermined location on the surface of the tire. The predetermined location being indicative of non-uniformity in the tire. The apparatus (100) further comprises at least one pair of stamps (104a, 104b; 104c, 104d) amongst the plurality of stamps (104), to be 10 actuated simultaneously from a rest position to an extended position, to place the plurality of markings at the predetermined location on the surface of the tire."
