MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007263 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'marking based drilling assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A marking based drilling assistive device characterizes a star-shaped body 1 with a touch interactive display panel 2, allowing user for providing dimensions of frame, the body 1 is incorporated with an imaging unit 3 to determine surface dimensions and surrounding areas which helps an inbuilt microcontroller in evaluating the appropriate height and drilling points for installation of supporting mounts for a frame, multiple laser lights 4 integrated on the edges of the body 1 for emitting intersecting beams, indicating the drilling points, an electronically controlled nozzle 7, positioned using a telescopic L-shaped rod 6, dispenses color from a chamber 8 installed on the body 1 onto the points, assisting the user in drilling accurately."
