Inventor(s) include Mr. R. Jai Ganesh; Mr. J. Rasul Ahamed; Ms. M. K. Deepika; Ms. R. Dhaarani Sree; and Ms. N. Kanimozhi.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a Maglev elevator system designed for efficient and safe vertical transportation within buildings. Utilizing electromagnetic coils installed in the elevator shaft 50 and beneath the elevator car, the system enables levitation of the car above the shaft 50, while additional coils along the shaft 50 create a moving magnetic field for controlled propulsion in various directions. Linear Hall Effect Sensors and Optical Encoders ensure precise positioning and feedback, while Tachometers and Doppler radar sensors monitor speed for smooth and safe operation. Load cells measure the weight of the car and occupants, optimizing energy usage and preventing overloading. Voltage and current control units, alongside overcurrent and overload protection mechanisms, ensure stable and secure electrical operation. Emergency features include backup power supply, emergency lighting, and communication devices, guaranteeing passenger safety during power outages or emergencies. Overall, the invention combines efficiency and structural integrity for effective transportation."
