MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122956 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'machine learning system for stock market forecasting and medical prediction.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Bhulakshmi Bonthu; Mr. Nalla Hemanth Krishna Sai; Mr. Anduri Praveen Kumar Reddy; and Mr. Bikkina Bhavya Sri Abhinay Sai.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a computer-implemented method (100) for stock market forecasting. The method (100) includes collecting (102) historical stock price data from application programming interfaces, preprocessing (104) the data by cleaning and normalizing, performing (106) feature engineering, splitting (108) data into training and testing sets, selecting (110) between multiple deep learning architectures, training (112, 114) a selected model, and generating (116, 118) stock price predictions. The architectures include Long Short-Term Memory networks, Gated Recurrent Units, and Recurrent Neural Networks. The system includes a data collection module for gathering historical data, a preprocessing module for cleaning and feature engineering, a model training module with multiple architectures, and a prediction engine for generating forecasts."
