MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012637 A) filed by Bennett University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'machine learning in color image processing.'

Inventor(s) include Prof. Ajith Abraham; and Dr. Madhushi Verma.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention proposes a system and method for machine learning-enhanced color image processing. The system comprises an input module to receive color images and sensors to detect lighting conditions. A machine learning module, utilizing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), processes color data, extracts features, identifies, and corrects color aberrations. An output module presents processed images, with users given the capability to provide feedback for continuous model refinement. The system includes a color calibration toolset and algorithms for color balancing to maintain color consistency across devices. A storage system catalogs both original and processed images for comparative analysis. The system respects the artistic intent of the image during processing. The method involves receiving a color image, applying the machine learning algorithm for color feature processing, and outputting the enhanced and corrected image."
