MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641024514 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on March 2, for 'machine learning-based heart disease risk prediction and generative ai health advisory system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. K. Thangaramya; and Meenatchinathan R M.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Machine Learning-Based Heart Disease Risk Prediction and Generative AI Health Advisory System. The invention relates to an integrated artificial-intelligence system designed to predict heart disease risk using structured clinical parameters and provide personalized health guidance through a generative advisory module. The system includes a secure user-interface layer for authentication and data submission; a data-processing layer that performs numerical normalization and one-hot encoding of categorical health attributes; and a logistic regression inference engine trained on structured cardiac datasets to compute a probability-based risk score. Based on this score, the system classifies users into low, medium, or high risk categories. A generative text module subsequently produces tailored lifestyle, wellness, and preventive-care recommendations appropriate to the identified risk level. The results interface presents both the computed risk category and the personalized advisory output in an interpretable format. The system provides accessible, consistent, and user-centric cardiac risk assessment suitable for preventive healthcare applications."
