MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517067690 A) filed by Lifetech Scientific Co. Ltd., Shenzhen, China, on July 16, for 'lumen stent.'
Inventor(s) include Chen, Erchong.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a lumen stent, comprising a mesh cover. The mesh cover comprises at least one column of hooking units; each hooking unit comprises a first hooking piece and a second hooking piece which are sequentially hooked from a proximal end to a distal end; the first hooking piece comprises a wave trough and two first wave rods connected to the wave trough; the second hooking piece comprises a wave crest and two second wave rods connected to the wave crest; the wave trough of the first hooking piece and the wave crest of the second hooking piece can move relatively in the axial direction; the mesh cover comprises a proximal end cover and a distal end cover in the axial direction; in the proximal end cover, the first wave rod on the side close to the radial edge of the mesh cover in the same hooking unit crosses over the second wave rod; and/or in the distal end cover, the second wave rod on the side close to the radial edge of the mesh cover in the same hooking unit crosses over the first wave rod. According to the present invention, the mesh hole in the radial side edge of the proximal end cover and/or the distal end cover can undergo large deformation under the action of an external force to expand sufficiently for a guide wire and a bridging stent to pass through the mesh hole."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/141012.
