MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010054 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'luggage uplifting assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Naresh Pratap.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A luggage uplifting assistive device, comprising a body 1 configured with a pair of C-shaped frames 2 interlinked with each other via a hinge joint and fixed on edge of roof via four suction cups 3, a touch enabled screen 4 that is accessed by user for entering type of operation, a concave roller 5 configured within frame 2, a speaker 6 installed on body 1 for guiding user to engage luggage with a cable lower luggage by translating cable on roller 5, a camera 7 for detecting position of cable on both roller 5, a pair of telescopic pushers 8 for maintaining correct position of cable on roller 5, a pair of vertical telescopic links 9 for maintaining contact between roller 5 and cable, a speed gun for detecting speed of luggage, and a pair of telescopic clippers 10 for gripping and releasing cable to support to user."
