MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421021706 A) filed by Hindalco Industries Limited, Maharashtra, on March 21, 2024, for 'lubricant formulation and process of preparing the same.'
Inventor(s) include Akshta Jha; Rajesh Patil; K. Venkatesh; Prof. Amit Pratap; Prasad Sanap; and Somesh Patil.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a lubricant formulation comprising at least one base oil, at least one anti-wear additive and extreme-pressure additive (AW/EP), at least one metal passivator, at least one biocide, and at least one defoamer. The lubricant formulation is useful for copper continuous casting which provides good lubricity, better anti-wear property and overcomes foaming tendency. It also provides protection against microbial growth."
